Outage tracking website Downdetector reported nearly 14,000 complaints at its peak. Frustrated users reported error messages, buffering issues and inability to access content, and took to social media platforms to vent their frustrations.
Popular streaming giant Netflix is currently experiencing significant disruptions ahead of the Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul boxing match, affecting thousands of users in the US. Downdetector.com, a website that tracks service disruptions, has registered nearly 14,000 reports for Netflix.
The outage does not appear to be widespread, with some users in different parts of the country reporting difficulties accessing the streaming service. The nature of the outage remains unclear, and Netflix has yet to release an official statement on the issue.
According to Downdetector.com, at its peak there were 13,895 reports of outages, but the number has gradually decreased to around 5,100 at the time of writing. Around 86% of people had problems streaming video, 10% had server connection issues, and 4% had login issues.
