Suriya’s ‘Kanguva’ is ready to break records at the Box Office, know the kanguva release date & estimated opening day collection
Kanguva Release Date: Tamil superstar Suriya’s upcoming film Kangava hits theatres on November 14. This is very special for his fans as his solo film won’t be released until two years from now.
After Etharkum Thunindhavan, Suriya has only had cameo roles, most popularly for his role as Rolax in the film Vikram. Previously, he won the hearts of audiences and critics with his stellar performances in films like Jai Bhim and Soorarai Pottru.
Soorarai Pottru won five national awards and Jai Bhim was the most searched film on Google India in 2021.
Fans have high expectations from Kanguva and are hoping for a box office success.
The film Kanguva is considered a big gift for Suriya’s fans. Producer Gnanavel Raja termed it a big-budget film and claimed that it could gross Rs 2,000 crore worldwide. This claim became a trending topic on social media.
Delays in pre-orders for the film have led to lawsuits and financial problems against the makers, adversely affecting the film. Industry experts in Tamil Nadu say that hence enthusiasm for the film is low.
Kangooba’s opening day box office collection
According to film expert Ramesh Bala, Kangooba is estimated to make around Rs 200 crore on its opening day in Tamil Nadu and Rs 750 crore on its worldwide opening day. However, these figures are considered low in comparison to recent hits like Amaran and Vetteiyan. Still, it could be the biggest start to Suriya’s career.
The film’s box office collection in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana
According to Telugu film expert Deepak, Kangooba is likely to open well in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Suriya has a large fan base in the Telugu regions. However, due to time overlap with Varun Tey’s Matka and Hollywood film Gladiator II in the region, the number of screenings of Kanguva was somewhat limited.
Chances of the film becoming a pan-India hit and its impact on Hindi audience
On the film’s chances of becoming a pan-India hit, director Ramesh said that the title of the film being a pan-India hit is well received in the Hindi speaking world. He said, “Earlier Tamil films Leo, Jailer and Amaran also failed to become pan-India hits. In such a situation, if the film Kanguva does not perform well in the Hindi market, it will not be able to achieve the status of a pan-India hit.”
Suriya will be seen in a dual role in Kanguva.
Suriya’s film Kanguva is set in two different eras and Suriya will play two roles. Disha Patani and Bobby Deol also feature in the film, making their Tamil film debut. The film has music by Devi Sri Prasad and is directed by Siva.
Weekend ratings could rise
Industry analysts predict that the weekend ratings for “Kang Gua” could rise even higher if the film receives positive reviews, in which case the results will become clear in the coming days.
